Bridget's Story

Today at the get together, Jackie, and Julie and the rest did a great job, so organised and everything they planned went very very well. A very big thank you to them.

When we arrived and registered there was Osmond videos playing, I had chance to look for people I have only every spoke to on O positive or the Brother sites. We swopped bits for each other. For example I had a flyer from the Donny tour, and one of the girls taped Jimmy on the different shows, as I was on holiday.

The lunch was great, so much variety to eat and plenty there for everyone.

Then came the time we were all waiting for, Jimmy arrived. I was sat in a place where when he came in, he shook my hand and said its nice to meet you, something I did not expect, and as they say the unexpected can be the best. I so loved that handshake especially when he shook my hand and then put his other hand on top, very personal and a lovely gesture, maybe did not mean much to him as it could be the normal thing for him to do, but meant a very lot to me.

He told us about the things he has been upto in Blackpool and with his family. This Sunday will be going to London again to record for Radio.

Then there was a photo session, again very organised, very proffesional. I did ask Jimmy if I could have a proper hug before my picture and he was very obliging, it was lovely, to put my arms around him and hug him. I then had my photo taken with him, and the girl who took it even managed to make me look within reason, I will post on the Jimmy site when I can. Jimmy turned out great on every photo I saw.

The question and answer forum, well what can I say, I cannot remember most of the questions, but his face told a million stories. He listened, he answered each and everyone, and never at one time appeared bored or feed up of any of us. What a great guy. I watched and was mesmorised by the way he took on board all the questions, even when he was asked who was richer him or Donny, and as he said and I know we would all agree with him, it was him? He spoke about each of his brothers, as he was asked the question if he could describe them in one word. You could tell the love he has for Jay. Hopefully I will be going to Boogie nights again on 21.08.04 and Jay will be there. This would make another dream come true, to meet another Osmond.

We then had the authograth session, again very well planned and organised. Jackie and everyone did a great job.

I managed to get Jimmy to sign my white O Positive shirt, which will now never be washed, and a picture, I did ask him to put my name on which he did, To Bridget love Jimmy Osmond. He looked at my shirt with the O positive symbol and I said he now had a simular site, that was great as we can keep updated with what he was doing and see his pictures on there, and he said this is all thanks to Cathy, as she had done all the work, and that he will have to go in and have a look at it.

I did ask for a kiss at that point, and again he obliged and let me Kiss his cheek. (if you dont ask you dont get)

I took lots of pictures throughout the day, hope they all turn out. I also took pictures for other women there on digital cameras, they turned out great.

After the signing he left for the show.

We went by taxi to the show and what a great show that was, so looking forward to going again. We sang, we clapped, we danced and everyone had a great time.

I cannot say what a perfect day it was in any other words. I loved every single moment from start to finish and wish I could go through it all again.

He is a lovely man, he was at ease with everyone of us, and I am so glad, again.
